Jonas Vingegaard: “Finally I get right in Paris-Nice”

“Today was almost a perfect day. We had a lot of fun with full gas racing all day. And finally I’m able to win Paris-Nice. It’s been a tough one for me, but I’m extremely happy to sit here with the yellow jersey today. Would have loved to also win the stage but Lenny [Martinez] was really strong and he deserves it.

Actually, to win Paris-Nice means a lot to me. It was the one that I just couldn’t get right. Finally, I get it right. I’m extremely happy. It’s a good start to the year and something I’m really proud of.

It’s my first race of the year and I’m really happy with how we’ve raced all week. I’m definitely in a very very good shape. I still think I can improve for the upcoming races. Hopefully I can do that, especially for the Tour.”
