Mads Pedersen: “Beaten by a faster man”

March 7 th 2024 - 16:57

“The final sprint was a bit of a gamble, we played a waiting game on the left, close to the barriers, then it opened up and we had to take the moment. Jasper did very good and afterwards Ryan did a great job leading me out as well. In the end I was just beaten by a faster guy.  He made the best of the slipstream and I couldn’t really do anything from the position he was sprinting and the position I was sprinting.

"There are no sprint days left. We will see tomorrow how it goes. There are pretty steep climbs. I’m not sure we can make it. We’ll try. With the shape I have, it’s worth the try especially with the weather. I hope to see some cold weather and some rain."
