Girmay: “Maybe I can do even better”

Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux): “It’s unbelievable. I’m really happy, first of all to be part of Paris-Nice, this is my first World Tour race, and then with how it went in the finale. We saw Jumbo-Visma are very strong but I came second in the sprint in the group. That’s good for me. It shows I’m in a good shape and maybe I can do even better in the coming days. I’m super motivated for hard stages like today, and I’m really motivated with Tuesday’s uphill finish. The next two days can be good for me. To be on the podium with the white jersey is really important for us. It’s super hard to win, but to be in a top 3 is also a good result and we aim for good results.”
