Located in the heart of the Doux Valley, about fifteen kilometers from the Rhône Valley, the municipality of Colombier-le-Vieux is bordered by two rivers flowing through the bottoms of granite gorges: the Doux and the Daronne.
Colombier-le-Vieux is recognized as a dynamic village within our territory, the Arche Agglo intermunicipal area, and beyond.

Visiting Colombier-le-Vieux means enjoying a wide range of outdoor sports activities:
• Cycling, of course, with the unmissable June event L’Ardéchoise, for which residents come together to provide cheerful and gourmet refreshment stops. It is also the gateway to many marked MTB, e-MTB, and gravel routes.
• Hiking, with the must-do Daronne Gorges loop leading to the hamlet of Saint-Sorny, as well as the trail race known as X’KERN, all on numerous paths in a preserved natural environment.
• Trials riding, with the very active La Burle club in this discipline. The many granite boulders in the landscape make it an ideal site: the commune hosted a round of the World Championship in 1993, numerous French Championship events including a final in 2024, and the 3 Jours de l’Ardèche (3 Days of Ardèche).

Colombier-le-Vieux is attractive thanks to its many volunteers and a highly committed community network, as well as its shopkeepers, craftspeople, and diversified farms (fruit growing, market gardening, livestock, processing).
