Laporte: "It’s nothing too serious, but you never feel good after a crash"

Christophe Laporte (Jumbo-Visma): "Many teams wanted to make it a hard race today and they succeeded, it was hard all day. We tried to do our best in the finale. The wind was coming from the right, we were jostling on the left to try and put Wout [van Aert] on Mads Pedersen’s wheel. It was a difficult situation and Wout already had to make an effort so he couldn’t go past in the end. It’s never pleasant to crash. A rider went down in front of me, he took me down. We’ll see how it goes but I had quite a hard hit on the buttock and the knee. It’s nothing too serious, but you never feel good after a crash. We’ll see things go."
